Lennox Industries Introduces Industry's Quietest Furnaces
DALLAS, Aug. 19 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Lennox Industries Inc., a subsidiary of Lennox International Inc. (NYSE: LII), has introduced the quietest gas furnaces currently on the market. The new G61V gas furnace line is the latest addition to Lennox' Dave Lennox Signature(TM) Collection, a premium product line that also features the HSX19 -- the industry's quietest and most efficient air conditioner, according to manufacturer's published ratings -- which was introduced earlier this year. Strong consumer acceptance of Lennox Industries' new products, including those in the Dave Lennox Signature Collection, have supported residential heating and cooling sales gains for LII so far this year.

"Studies have shown most homeowners want quieter heating and cooling products, and Lennox continues to make significant strides in quiet engineering with its SilentComfort(TM) technology," said Bob McDonough, president and COO, Worldwide Heating and Cooling, LII. "The G61V gas furnaces are the latest products featuring this engineering." Lennox rates the G61V furnace line as the quietest furnaces on the market based on the modified Air- Conditioning and Refrigeration Institute Standard 260, with the sound level based on independent tests of the Lennox G61MPV-36B-070 model and competitive units.
All of the G61V furnaces are also Energy Star products, meeting the Environmental Protection Agency's standards by using at least 20%-40% less energy, which reduces pollution.
"The G61V furnace line is further proof of Lennox Industries' carefully targeted approach to product development," McDonough said. "Lennox intends to be a leader in areas of product innovation that are not only technologically advanced, but also meet consumer needs."
